“A circle in space, but a spiral in time” - Devon Lowry

I started to write single letters on a paper.

The letter “O” as a beginning.
A closed circular shape. A spiral, even.
I would draw it, in one draft, until my pen was empty.

I wanted to “consume myself” as well. It became like a task.
I would set myself goals, and would not stop until I was done, even if it hurt.
The paper got bigger and bigger as there were a lot of things that I needed you to know.

The letters themselves have no function as signifiers.
I just use them as a pattern, and repeat it indefinitely.

The repetition, the rhythms and the action become the language.

It is like sheet music that I cannot read.
It is like a book that I am not reading.
It is like a movement that I am loving.

It is a work in progress.
I am a work in progress.
