ROSES, 2011
In Roses, I show a bag filled with (stolen) wild roses to the camera. I place them all on the ground, and it looks very pretty. Then I start to remove every petal from the flowers, like we did when we were young, and thought that a boy might like us. He loves me, he loves me not. I do it more aggressively, without really counting or caring about the flowers. Then, I place them on the floor, and separate them in two piles: the petals and the bare stems. I start from a frame filled with roses to end with a frame filled with petals. I also documented the big pile of bare stems. It looks like a nice bouquet, but all the flowers are gone.
